Why is this show different than all other shows?

All other shows, we may go to section 108 once or twice, but on this night we go three times.

All other shows, we may hear standing or sitting, but this show only standing and jumping.

All other shows may be good or great, but this show only great.

All other shows, we see something legendary, but this show we see something still making history.

Had this show delivered solid performances and nothing more, that would have been good (it would have been Saturday night).

Having delivered solid performances, had this show had a crowd that recognized those performances and sang along and filled in where Bruce missed verses and started its own chants, but nothing more, that would have been very good (but not as good as closing night at Madison Square Garden).

Having delivered solid performances and a better crowd, had this show added "It's Hard to be a Saint in the City" with a killer piano closing by Roy Bittan, faster and faster until the piano self- combusted, but nothing more, that would have been memorable (the piano somehow managed to stay functional after the pounding). Having delivered solid performances, a better crowd and Saint in the City, had this show produced a rendition of "Mary's Place" that worked for all 20 minutes, and nothing more, that would have been very very good.

Having delivered solid performances, a better crowd, Saint in the City and a grooving Mary's Place, had this show delivered a perfect rendition of "Meeting Across the River" and nothing more, that would have been exceptional.

Having delivered solid performances, a better crowd, Saint in the City, a grooving Mary's Place and Meeting for Eddie, had this show brought "Kitty's Back," too, that would have been legendary. Having delivered solid performances, a better crowd, Saint in the City, a grooving Mary's Place, Meeting for Eddie and Kitty too, had this show delivered "Seven Nights to Rock," that would have been earth quaking booty shaking blister making madness.

Having delivered solid performances, a better crowd, Saint in the City, a grooving Mary's Place, Meeting for Eddie, Kitty, and a blistering "Seven Nights to Rock," this show has left my ears ringing and my voice ragged and my feet blistered.

Til next time in New Jersey.
