It Blowed Away

A dust bowl ballad written in 1961 by Sis Cunningham and her brother Bill Cunningham for Broadside Magazine and recorded soon afterward by their friend and fellow Broadside found Pete Seeger. Seeger's version appears on "Link in the Chain," and Cunningham's on "The Best of Broadside: 1962-1988." I know of no other recordings of this song, which is also the newest composition included in "The Seeger Sessions."
